What New Fresh Hell Is This?

I have been unemployed for almost a year now. It seems an impossible task to find a job now. The labor department says that it is taking about 30 weeks to find a new job, but this only goes to prove the fact that they have a sense of humor. I know people who are going on two years.

Searching for jobs is nothing like it used to be. It used to be that you got dressed up, wrote a nice resume, had a lot of interviews and had your pick of places to work. Well no more! Employment in America has now made me reconsider how many levels of Hell should actually be in Dante's Inferno. There seems to be no accountability for anybody anymore. Do whatever you want and get away with it. Nobody gets in trouble. Let your shameful tendencies out.

What's even sadder about the whole situation is that I don't even want to go back to work. I slaved away at a job for three years, stuck in the same position and working for the same crappy boss that I didn't get to meet before I started to work there. The upper management was awful and let the company sink into an abyss that finally ended in bankruptcy. I made many attempts to fix some of the financial problems, but alas nobody listened and I got laid off. I'm not trying to vent, but my point is valid. When people are offering you money saving ideas as you are about to go into bankruptcy, I don't know....maybe consider them.

Employers now do unscrupulous things to their employees. What's worse is that they get away with this behavior. Nobody is watching the labor laws. Agencies aren't checking up on employers. It's like the wild west is starting all over.

And what about shipping jobs overseas? What about job creation/job growth? Has anybody stopped to think that most people in America don't even know the first thing about Green technology?
